Visited because of numerous recommendations.Nice setting for a neighbourhood fish n chippery.Service friendly. Average prices.Had been told battered fish was very good but unfortunately food was very poor - all the seafood was grossly overcooked. Very light batter was good but fish cooked until almost inedible.Potato was very much undercooked.Seemed like it was all thrown into the fryer at the same time and the oil was possibly too hot. Outside of the potato was fried until it was way too hard but the inside hadn't cooked properly. Considering the recommendations we had for this place it was very surprising just how bad the food was.
Just had a very yummy dinner with my husband & my teenage stepson who has a large appetite and we were all throughly satisfied. The service was extremely swift and pleasant. The boys had a huge platter of fish, prawns, potato fritters, calamari & chips along with a large Greek salad. All was excellent apparently, as was my Greek salad - extremely fresh and tasty and the chips yum! (A very delicious veggo meal). Very good value. We will be back.
I had the barramundi meal with dim sims and a potato scallop for dinner. The chips were excellent; crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The fish was a bit overdone and dry and the dim sims were fairly average. The potato scallop was unfortunately not good. It was an odd colour and kind of mushy. Overall, it was ok for a fish n chip shop, but nothing to write home about.
There is inside the quiet residence area. One plate of fish'n chips is huge. Two ladies may finish one. But Burger also nice. And they don't serve the alcohol beverages. So if you want to enjoy wine, BYO.
