The Long Dog - Tisch reservieren

I’d give this pub 0 stars if possible We were in town for a quick bite to eat and the pub was happy to accommodate saying the table was booked for and we had an hour and a half. We quickly ordered drinks and...ordered our food. We were shocked to then wait for the first of four starters. The next starter arrived minutes later, the third starter arrived another later and now we were waiting on last two starters knowing we had to eat them!!!! The food was bland and so expensive to what could be considered as a kids menu. The waitress was aggressive and defensive when we tried to tell her why we were upset and said “the food comes out when it’s ready.” We were never told this. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this pub to anyone but recommend that the staff learn the art of service.

Booked a table at for myself and my children hours before visiting the Christmas lights at Waddesden. When we arrived the pub was not busy, however it took an hour for our food to arrive. There were no updates or explanations for...this and during this time I saw no other meals being brought out, so I have no idea why it took so long to cook cheeseburgers and a chicken burger, but we were all utterly fed up having to wait that long. We were asked if we wanted desserts, which we had planned for and allowed time for, but did not have time for in the end. Having travelled a long way to go to Waddesden and decided to make a day of it, this made for a very disappointing experience and I would not return to this pub.

We visited a few days ago and had excellent food, the staff are so friendly and polite. They were very busy that day with lots of tables and families to serve, and this did reflect waiting but it was good to see it so busy...and the restaurant doing well. The food is absolutely worth the extra few minutes wait. Great to also see a non alcoholic larger on tap. We witnessed some negativity amongst other customers which was unwarranted as the staff were Very busy and doing there best

A fully booked, friendly Gastropub, all six of our meals came together, delicious roasts, cheeseburgers with great chips, clean plates all round. Well done to the chef and staff.

A really lovely pub.. warm and welcoming and excellent menu Particularly loved the rosemary fries! Lovely service and would return
