Had a night away from the children with the woman. Book the romantic package that included the room at 160 plus ninety for dinner, which includes an appetizer, Entrees, Desert and a bottle of wine or champagne. Dinner and service was wonderful, with good food and choices. The room was missing. At this price range, I stayed in a lot more beautiful rooms at more expensive locations. The bed was advertised as a queen, but seemed small, the room itself was small, but seemed sat. The bathroom was tiny without room and a tiny shower. The shower had several spiders that we had to remove, and the shower head hardly worked because it was so entrusted with hard water deposits. Not what I would expect at this price class for a hotel with the reputation of Lucerne.
Had Thanksgiving dinner at the Inn. I was very excited about the food. Your early courses were great as usual. I ordered the crab head with squash and sweet potato. Others at the table ordered Turkey or ham. We were all disappointed when we were served. The whole food was taken together in a bunch. The sauce for the Schellfisch covered everything on my plate. It ruined the taste of sweet potato and squash. My mother almost refused to eat her food. I had to get a side sign for her ham and potatoes so she could eat them. I think the food would have been good, but who decided to place the food in a bunch made a big mistake. At almost $50, a record would have been a more traditional presentation.
Could not have have picked a better place for home base as we explored Acadia and Bar Harbor. Every evening was a spectacular meal served by staff who care and best sleep ever in comfy and spacious room. Made our Maine vacation! The owners pay attention to detail the property is immaculately maintained. I miss it already.
My wife and I were here as part of our 10-year anniversary trip on the west coast. The reception was amazing to give advice on all local things. We ate twice in the restaurant and the food was amazing!! Service, rooms and views from the inn cannot be considered. Would definitely stay here again!!!
