The Merrie Lion

We retreated to the Merrie Lion while on a canal boating holiday during the current heatwave. We were very well looked after by Hazel and the lovely lady bartender. The food was the highlight of the holiday. The pub was listed in the canal guide and is well worth the walk.

We stayed here last weekend....I can only say its amazing. Food fantastic, service excellent. The rooms are fantastic, and I have never stayed anywhere as clean. Staff amazing.thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Great room the best breakfast I have had the owner is really friendly and staff lovely even the locals made us welcome will be going back in the summer could not fault it

Despite Kovid strong, the staff is as friendly as always and to fit food. Great atmosphere all year round. Like every village pub should be!

Rooms are great, clean and a great bed. Food is excellent and plenty choice. Bar has a good relaxing atmosphere.
