I LOVE This KOSY HISTORIC LONDON TAVERN A REAL GEM. My wife and I have visited this wonderful historical tavern twice and for me a 'Number One' favorite in the famous 'Square Mile'. There were the impressions of a warm, attractive, welcoming Inn with a charm to lure you through its low irradiated wooden doors, as here awaits delicious food on the menu and a varied selection of beer and ales. I love the 'GHOST SHIP ' We enjoyed a festive meal, pint or two in a good spirited living atmosphere. Good music in the background fine tuned, and beautifully decorated with decor over the limits of the bar. The interesting historical wall relics with London history are noteworthy, and also the elaborate front glass window with a fine portrait of Sir Christopher Wren at the front entrance. If you come far and wide into the city of London, then I recommend to people visit this for your bucket list of places. Even if only for a drink and admire its historic shop windows indoors and outdoors. Very clean good toilets despite a staircase, with a lively atmosphere to hug you. Relaxed moments to experience here, depending on times, day, week of the year. An excellent location and perfect for a good city walk. A very cozy pub where you can enjoy a delicious pinch of authentic beer in a relaxing and comfortable place. This old-fashioned pub takes you to a distant, distant era. Very courteous and friendly staff. Clean toilets. It's a must if you're in this area.
I love old pubs, especially the ones you have to search for to find. It’s not touristy, and it has lots of old world charm. We stopped for a pint on our own self-guided pub crawl.
