The One Bull Public House

We always choose The One Bull as our go to aperitif place before eating out in Bury, as it is such a relaxed venue, staff are so nice, excellent beers and a gorgeous English sparkling on the drinks list! Having not had a meal there for a while, we booked a table good atmosphere, friendly restaurant staff. We ordered a Portuguese white (no 12 on the list! for £26 I would highly recommend it. We both ordered salmon with potatoes and gem/broad bean fricassee, and I'm afraid both of us were quite underwhelmed; served in a bowl, with only 3 potatoes, a thin fillet of salmon (not of the finest quality and scarcely a broad bean to be found. Our side of Hispi cabbage, however, was gorgeous 2 bold wedges, beautifully cooked and presented. It was certainly far from filling not at all the heartier dishes we remembered from previous dinners there a pity. Overall, The One Bull is by far the best place in Bury for a drink, a good place to meet friends, but we'll regard the food with a bit of caution.
