On a boring Thursday, nothing can freeze you like pizza. My friend and I dropped at a table. Do not let her look fool you because they have a bit of seating and even alcohol! I have a Fountain Diet Pepsi as my drink that came with free refills. I enjoyed it. For dinner we ordered Penne Pasta with Phil's Special Meat Sauce. The sauce had mushrooms and green pepper in it. It included garlic bread. We also ordered a small 12? Cheese pizza with crispy sauce. The pasta came out first and it came on a large plate. We both went uncontrolled until it was demolished. Man, this pasta was amazing. The sauce was thick. The garlic bread was softened with garlic. It was a tasty addition to the pasta. The pizza is really hot. At first, I almost burned my tongue. You were a generous portion of sausage on the pizza. It was a pleasant little circle. I almost finished it alone. Our waitress was very nice and helpful at our visit. She had a very positive attitude and was proud of her job. Not too often you see. Overall, the quality was definitely present here. The prices were not too bad. I recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area, or even through. I'm sure I'll enjoy John's pasta soon! Date of visit: 10/6/22
Spring 2018. Friendly services. Crunchy crust and flavorful fillings. Picture of whole pizza was from first visit. Other dinners looked good. Dining area needs updating, new dining chairs and new table clothes would brighten the place up..... Update....February 2019...ordered large sausages and green pepper for pick up. Taste of pizza would have been better if they weren't so skimpy with the sauce. Who ever heard of a dry pizza. They also were skimpy with the green pepper and cheese. Plus free half order of spaghetti that had maybe a fourth cup of sauce. I was looking forward to trying their spaghetti. But this half order was a big disappointment. Being consistent is so important in the restaurant business. 27.55 including tax.......Went back 3-19 and pizza was so much better. More sauce, green pepper and cheese. The owners or manager hopefully got employees all on the same page.
This location is a rear door entrance and go up to a counterpart Pizzeria. No place is observed here. I guess it's a phone call for orders for delivery or customer pickup orders. I ordered a lunch special slice of sausage pizza. At a price of $4.00. I asked for a small extra red sauce on the pane while it was heated again. After I got this pizza, I didn't find it as cheap as I expected. The sausage meat under the cheese topping was very, very choppy n chipped up and not in individual meatball drops as other pizzeria serve in their pizza dishes. It ate hamburger meat. So I didn't like it and I won't come back. It just felt like I didn't eat a pizza slice, maybe a pizza doll. The meat was also strongly placed on the dough and makes it much drop. I visited this pizzeria once again for a slice of cheese pizza. The presentation was different, but nothing too exciting.
Lives in Chicago for some time still chose this as my favorite pizza! Family dinner is roasted chicken, pizza, garlic bread, spaghetti salad. Great! Service is great. It's nice to see they're still here.
