I expected a lot more from this restaurant in a bustling part of town on a Sunday morning. The Veg out breakfast consisted of one small piece of dry toast, a scoop of guacamole that was the palest shade of green and tasted like mayonnaise (the menu called it avocado salsa ???), a couple of spinach leaves and two small mushrooms. My friend received burnt, dry bacon and an overdone, hard, fried egg. How do you mess up a fried egg? They managed. She needed a steak knife to get through her toast. There are so many nicer and cheaper restaurants around in this area. Won't be going back here again.
Short visit to Melbourne to watch the footy and looking for a night out with the family. Wanted something with a casual but alive vibe without a huge price tag.This place was just perfect!Had to wait about 5-10minutes for a table and the waiter at the door made it clear you hadn't been forgotten.Every meal was exceptional as was the service. Wine list was good and the IPA on tap was great.Closed out the night with some of the best ever desserts - the homemade sticky date was huge and delicious to the last mouthful.Final cost for 3 courses and a couple of hours was $250.Not a single negative.
Attempted breakfast here on a Saturday, to be told by wait staff that the breakfast menu was not being served. Compromised on lunch menu choices..... only to see next table getting full breakfasts when they ordered after us. Staff really need to get their messaging sorted. Opted not to go back on Sunday and won't bother again.
Food was good - not great - coffee and **** mary very average - service efficient but didn't like being told coffee was not right - fairly sure she rolled her eyes at me!
