Request to sit outside in the Summer months, it is much quieter than the main dining room and more romantic. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday Night at the Jersey Shore, very surprised they had any openings. Place was full inside, but we were the only table outside. We started with their Ceaser Salad, delish and fresh. I had the Blackened Ahi Tuna Special Very Fresh, blackening was a bit heavy so a bit salty. Sides were rice (sticky and bland) with Green Beans and Carrots (fine). Mahi Mahi was the special my spouse had this, he loved it. The couple we were with also had the Tuna and their Jambalaya both said it was really good. Stop by this stop, it's worth a trip!
This is my 5th time visiting Quarter House. This visit and the last 2 were very disappointing as they ran out of main menu items. The 1st time this happened we were there for Oyster night in the off season at about 6:45 pm. We were told they were out of oysters. There were probably 10 people in the restaurant beside us on a Thursday off season. Not acceptable. Last night we decided to give it another chance. The choice of entrees were about 8 and they were out of 2. How do they continue to serve guests so inadequately and stay open for business. We will not be back. Very disappointing.
Kitchen was very slow and it was a Saturday night in the Summer and there were empty tables, so not too busy. Wait staff was also slow. No bread until we asked for it after having our appetizers. Also never cleared our appetizer plates. Food was very good so maybe we caught them on a bad night as far as service goes. Also wouldn’t hurt to do some landscaping. The restaurant looks like a regular house that doesn’t take care of their landscaping. Wasn’t even sure if the place was opened when we pulled up
Table was ready when we got there. Servers were friendly and pleasant. Appetizers were very good and all 4 entrees were delicious. Would definitely go back.
