Virginia was a great hostess/bartender. I really appreciate how on point she was. She filled a few different positions at once. Now the food.. the food looked really good, but it wasn’t as good as it looked. It was rather overcooked and somewhat dry. I got a variety of things to try. Chicken wings were good, but lacked moisture. House-made tator-tots tasted like dry hush puppies, fries were 2 steps away from potato chip status, onion rings were 3/5, and the chicken dip and pretzels were ok. All of the sauces were pretty good. If I’d pick an area for them to improve, I’d definitely say food cook time. Maybe shorten the times on everything by 60-90 seconds and they will be in the pick 5 winning ticket. Everyone has an off night, maybe this was theirs. I’ll def go back and try again though.
One of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. Our second visit was not as extraordinary as the first, but everyone has an abandoned night. The hash brown balls are worth updating your leg. The Mac and the cheese were too thick and last time cheat (not enough milk or cream), but the first time it was like eating a piece of heaven. Amazing terrace with room heating for when the weather is beautiful (it is not covered) and they have this garage style doors so when it is warm, they open some of the walls so that you get plenty of fresh air in the restaurant.
Came here for dinner and it was a pretty nice place. We ordered pretzel bites and cheese curds for appetizers and a few beers. Ordered the crouching something hidden burger, bootlegger, and the spicy garlic chicken. Got sides of mac n cheese as well. The mac was really good. The burger was alright, honestly nothing special. The chicken sandwich on the other hand was amazingly good. Service was really good. Thanks guys.
Cheese curds, Beyond Bootlegger Burger, and Steak Fries were all very good but nothing too special. Very friendly staff and didn’t wait long to get seated. Nice environment, good music and TV selections (sports and Chive TV), and offer outdoor seating during the warmer months. Would come back for sure, but overall a very typical restaurant/bar environment.
