We got on 16. July 2022 at 7:30 a.m. When we arrived there, we sat at a table near the bar. We started drinking water. My brother tried the Manhattan, it had Vermouth, Bourbon and not sure what else, but when it came into the glass, it literally smoked in the glass and came to $12-$13. I got the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Appetizer, which was $19, which was garnished with about 5-6 shrimps with 4 pieces of garlic bread. The sauce, the shrimps and garlic bread were in had a kind of wine that really emphasizes the taste of the shrimps. It's been quite nice. My brother got the Lobster Bisque and it was definitely worth the price. It would probably be nice to go back just to enjoy the soup to be honest. We then had a main course of 8 ounces of Center Steak Filets, which came around 48 dollars each; I got it medium, and my brother got it medium, and it was one of the tenderest steaks I've ever tried in my life. Finally, to complete, even if we stayed a little past closing time, we ate a Luxardo Cheesecake, which was very well presented. My brother and I enjoyed it every minute. The atmosphere of the place disappeared with the sounds of stylish jazz you could take a special person. A great place to talk business for a 3rd date (to take it on a notch), or to get your wife in the mood. Our waitress was wonderful, had an exciting and positive mood and knew what she did. Because my brother and I work a lot, it is very hard for us to find time for vacation (he has PTO and I not), so we thought this was the best way to spend our time this year for the summer. It is definitely a beautiful experience and hopefully I can enjoy something similar again before I meet my heavenly creator. I want to take care of Fredonia Hotel and the Republic of Fredonia Steakhouse for a great night out of the house and for the time. I hope everyone has a blessed week.
The woman and I went another outing. This time to our local steak house that none of us were. It was amazing! At first we had a wonderful server called Megan, who was extremely knowledgeable and led us through the menu. We started with Martinis who were really good and only needed one. I had the lobster bisque and she had the BLT chopped salad before she ordered the 8oz fillet and butter Shrimp Pasta. We were very impressed for the small town of Nacogdoches Tx. We had a nice private table near the window. We really needed a romantic night and this place really hit it out of the park.
The Republic of Steakhouse is a GREAT place to eat in Nacogdoches. You can enjoy the best meal in Nacogdoches, and the staff will treat you with personalized care. On the food, the staff was very sweet and made sure I was happy. I had the Lobster Bisque, who had HUGE pieces lobster (and only $8), the fillet with Au Gratin Potatoes, which were both delicious and huge, and finished it with Bananas Fosters, which were more mixed with a pecan rum cake mixed with Banana's cares, but was still delicious. The vanilla ice cream itself was great.
Always fantastic!! A Marilyn is a must from behind the bar, and in any way you need the lobster bisque or lumps or BBQ shrimp WOW! We are always looking forward to our next visit! We are always treated wonderfully from beginning to end, making the wait for reservations so worth it!!
