The building is fantastic. I looked up its history so credit to Town Planners (rare praise! for not ruining it or preserving some of its unique features. In terms of the inside experience it’s managed the design in a quite sensitive design-wise with open brick and an industrial feel which works quite well. The food is quite basic and arguably good value. We had Burgers and the portions aren’t that great plus there are limited trimmings. But you know what you’re letting yourself in for when you eat at a Wetherspoons establishment so it was no great surprise. Plus you can’t expect cheap prices and haute cuisine, it’s an oxymoron! We did have a couple of ice cream sweets with brownies which were good. This wouldn’t be our go-to place, but I would imagine if you want something cheap and cheerful in a reasonably pleasant environment close to the centre of Guildford, it’s worth a try. I’ve also told that I have a good selection of Ales.
