The Rose and Crown Pub

We live in Tsawwassen and the Rose and Crown is our go-to pub for great food and assorted potent potables from Stella Artois to Kilkenny. The menu covers all tastes, from salads to beef dips, from appetizers to full meals. While we haven't eaten everything on the menu - yet - what we have tried has been very good to excellent, and in generous portions. I can never finish it all. My favourite appetizers are the Steak Dips and single Veggie Plate. If you order the nachos, make sure you have at least two friends with you as they are served in abundance! If you are a Kilkenny fan, as we are, then rest assured, it is poured expertly. One warning - the Rose and Crown is a pub/sports bar and depending on the sport season, if you are more interested in chatting than watching sports and participating in the cheering and jeering, you may have to speak more loudly than normal, depending on your timing. Early afternoon seems to be the quietest. In the nice weather, there are a couple of terraces you can escape to. The noise from the televisions is the only reason I have given an overall rating of Very Good, rather than Excellent. Indeed, it is a Very Good+ Did I mention the excellent service? From the bar staff to the table service, we have never had reason to complain - only to complement. A jewel of a find in the middle of Tsawwassen.

We have gone here several times because it is close to us and our friends but the food has always been sort of mediocre but when we went last time it was absolutely great. I had their big house burger which has to be one of the better burgers I have had and the fries were great as well. Our friends had the fish and chips which by all accounts were great as well , crispy batter and moist fish. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we will definitely be going back. The only negative, it is a little on the noisy side with a lot of TVs belching and the band was warming up 2 hours early but the food and service were great.

Oh my, the food here is just terrible. I have to say the chicken wings are the smallest, skinniest over cooked worst ever! I don't even think Gordon food service would deliver such ****!! It's unbelievable that they would even serve them?? The food and beer is way over priced, but you can do that when you are the only pub in town. It wouldn't survive if there was competition that is for sure. Can be crowded, bathrooms are filthy and smell like urin, very miss managed and only in its feet because, like he I said, the only game in town.

Best chicken nachos for the size and price in delta! Excellent caesar too!always great service and live music on the weekends! Chef Rob is the best!

We just dropped in for a quick lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Owner stopped by to say HI, which assisted in making it all quite special
