The Rubbing House

the rubbing house is a picturesque gastropub located on the epsom racecourse (literal); when they sit outside, they can see the victorious post. where location and ambiente are affected, this is a very, very special pub. eating in rubbing house has a clear Mediterranean twist, especially Greek. our table ordered her rustic homemade moussaka, a beautiful prawn linguini (while special,) a beef bourguignon and good old English bangers and mash. I have made my blogger round of the table, get a taste of everything, and really liked the prawn linguini and the bark bourgunigno. the moussaka was also quite good. the sausages were, well, sausage.

This restaurant may not boast the most cutting edge decor but it is clean, comfortable, smart and perfect for lunch with wonderful views over Epsom Downs. In my experience, the parking is ample. The menu caters for a variety of tastes (meat, fish, veggie, vegan) and prices are more than fair. Best of all, the service is friendly and efficient and the food has been excellent every time we've visited recently. The Rubbing House is now certainly our favourite local lunch venue.

decided to go there with colleagues after work for a drink and nibbles. beautiful cozy place at epsom racecourse. lots of parking. with a view of the racetrack. personal. we ordered and tried the Meze plate. it was in order. toilet is also clean. overall experience was good. will be back to explore more.

morris. my wife and I enjoyed a super lunch with friends, eating was great and the staff was very friendly. highly recommended

fab venue, good friendly atmosphere, .may be expensive, but eating is worth it!
