Truly Victorian. After coming in off the ferry from Connecticut my wife and I were looking for a place to lunch. We have a favorite place to eat however when walking there we came across this new restaurant and decided to give it a whirl. Walking in we were greeted by softly playing music and the cutest little gift shop. The greeter was a kind girl who brought us to our seats where we were again greeted by our waiter who told us all the specials. My wife ordered the chilled strawberry soup while I order the chicken salad on what was a raisin and nut bread. Now I don't care much for strawberry soup, forgive me for being close minded, but my wife raved highly about it. I on the other hand enjoyed fully my sandwich. The bread was very tasty but didn't take away from the excellent chicken salad! The lettuce was fresh looking, as if I had went to the store and bought it myself, unlike anything I've ever seen in a restaurant. Along with our lunch my wife and I shared a dessert tea which was probably our best decision all day! The cafe has many teas to choose from (easily 25 or 30 tea flavors) so we asked the waiter which he recommended. He said the cinnamon spice tea was an excellent choice that many people enjoyed and so we followed his recommendation. The tea was delicious, and the desserts that came with it were equally as good. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again and highly recommend it to any one thinking about visiting!d
