The Slanted Door San Ramon

An amazing restaurant which has successfully evolved Vietnamese cuisine to its next level and brought exquisite, unique, and delectable dishes to the masses. This location of the restaurant is in the Bishop Ranch mixed use development in San Ramon. We visited for the dinner service. The restaurant offers an impressive drinks menu for both imbibers and teetotalers. The appetizers offer light fare to tantalize your taste buds with dishes like green papaya salad, spring rolls, and yellow tail sashimi. The main course has filling and scrumptious fare including shaking beef, clay pot chicken, halibut, and whole fish among others. The sophisticated use of Asian flavors while ensuring they are not overpowering the quality of ingredients is the true test of a quality restaurant and it seems Slanted door has mastered it. Highly recommended and I will be back again.

We tried the Slanted Door San Ramon again after they reopened for outdoor dining. The set up with socially distanced tables and heat lamps made outdoor dining safe and comfortable. It was nice to be out again dining and supporting our local businesses. All our food was great and honestly better than the last time we were here before the pandemic. We definitely recommend the imperial rolls appetizer (you wrap rolls in lettuce with rice noodles and sauce) and the pork chop!! The pork chop is new to their menu. Must try!

Great customer service, food came on a timely manner and was amazing! Try it All! portions was perfect for me. Beef stew came with a Choice of brown rice or white rice and a side of sautéed green beans. Best to make reservations ahead of time since it can get busy!

Staff is fantastic. They know the menu and pairings so makes for a great dinner spot. Plus it’s fun to sit at the bar and watch the chef’s in action.

This place has the best food and drinks. They are a little high in the price point but offer great service and ambiance.
