Made a late booking after walking out of Travelodge Alcester due to facilities being way below average standard. Booked it prior to leaving Travelodge with a lady by the name of Becky who met us on arrival with a friendly greeting followed by showing us to our room which was fantastic. After settling in we went down for an evening meal which was exceptional and cooked to perfection with such friendly service. Beds very comfortable room spotlessly clean and well presented Breakfast time we were greated by a young lady by the name of Kirsty who was so pleasant and attention to detail during service was brilliant. We would highly recommend a stay here or even if you just require a meal. Big thank you to the staff for your friendly and professional manner shown to us.
This is quite a large pub but with only a small dog friendly area. We were shown to a badly lit table. even though the pub was nearly empty. However, the food, especially my fish pie was good. but the service was poor, a young girl who really couldn’t be bothered to come and take our order. It was not as if they were very busy either. She was much more interested in chatting to the other waitresses. Very disappointing.
Went for Sunday lunch. Greeted by very scruffy male with long hair. Could do with either cutting hair or tying it up. All other female staff had hair tied up and looked smart. Sunday dinner was average. Meat was nice, roast potatoes not cooked enough and the gravy was wishy washy with no flavour. Service was fine, but all in all, pretty mediocre Sunday dinner. Can think of nicer Sunday dinners to have locally.
This was a grim experience. The bar was dark and unfriendly really uninviting. So we took our pints outside to enjoy the sunset. Signs everywhere saying ‘No entrance’ etc. unless you were eating or staying the night. Very unwelcoming….the beer was great but the atmosphere severely lacking. I suppose they only want restaurant customers.
