back in juni tried team list to go to the opening night of the toy shop bar in putney. it turned out that there were only friends and family at night, so we wandered and went to some reliable alcoholics in the opposite. we returned last week and made it this time! they have now an incredibly generous happy hour from 5. 8 Monday Thursday, which was the perfect excuse for us to work our way through their cocktail menu. it was quite empty when we arrived, but I am sure that it will get busier when putney local wind the discount! it seems to be a little crazy at the weekend, so they take their choice. most drinks have ridiculous names and an even silly list of ingredients. I started with newton 's cradle old fashioned tipple toy shop dried fruit infused malt dazzle, absinthe mist, rosehip tincture, aged cardamom dark cacao, vanilla extract, no 1. bitter dazzled 8x, coated fruit. lauren went for clubland a la polly pocket, which was served in a bizarre conical glass on ice, with sherbert, chocolate cigarettes and suck. natalies professor 's negroni see above and below was amusingly presented, melting with a nectarin blossom sphere in slow, letting the negroni gradually drop into the bottom of the glass while she tastes it with another. it also had a pipette top for a bit extra D.I.Y bitterness. I also liked the ticle of my elmo, the grog served in a bottle that was wrapped in a time. the whole place has a willy wonka feeling, so it is no surprise that the drinks on the sweet side and are quite theatrical. that fit mary lurking on the floor, but there were still a few bitter options to keep natalie and I happy. if cocktails are not your thing, then they might want to go on the tap the prosecco, or the toy shop beer that is created a store for them by shepherd's neame. they can not divide in the position of the bonkers cocktails when they are in a big group. the king of the castle that appears at the bottom on £100 is the most impressive, but I would choose the cheaper option of ralph the robot £35 that lights up and leaves much smoke. some will complain that it’s all show, but I guess they’re serving to Bonker’s concoctions that she could never be home again. this is not a Mahiki style trying to make a killing about the distribution of drinks, they only go for fun all round. sharing food is also worth a look. we had only the goat cheese lollipops, but there are many tempting offers on the menu. If you want to go for the whole toy shop experience, you will get a ticket to one of their Sunday roast parties that they describe as a child party for adult roast dinner, unlimited prosecco and beer, djs, ballon modeling and more! What about the toilets? I hear you cry. no care team list has made a rece. the lady room has barbies tied to the walls now I know that barbies do not have nipples lure while aiming the gents brightly colored urinals. both rooms also have glittering walls that create a discoball effect in space. we finally asked about the bill that was accompanied by some delicious chocolate lego men. thumbs up all round go with a group of friends for fun evening of eating and cocktails, the 't break the bank, except they order this burg! .
