The Tudor Rose Tearooms Garden

You feel like you're going back in time when you enter this beautiful, contemporary building. With vintage music, picturesque tearooms and a beautiful outdoor garden area, food here is a treat from the beginning to the end. I brought my wife here for my birthday after discovering some vegan options on the menu. We had two vegan afternoon teas that were very good price at £12.95pp. This included a trio of cakes mini strawberry cheesecake, fruity butterflies and coconut and lime cakes vegan cheese and Mayo finger sandwiches and scones with coconut tinted cream and jam. We both had a tea with soy milk. There are certain things I thought I had to kiss myself goodbye to vegan and cream teas were one of them. That was such a nice treat and they really did an excellent job. I hope in the future they will consider the extension of their sandwich options with such great vegan replacement for ham, chicken, etc. available. They also offer a vegan cream tea for £6.95 pp and may make their vegetarian breakfast vegan friendly when you are called to discuss, but I have not tried this.

I would really give these 5 stars if possible. I went through Plymouth and came here solo. It is a beautiful old building with an interior that they have made really beautiful. It is small as the nature of the old buildings and there is a really cozy feeling. I love eating food with a nostalgic factor for them and I feel for every Brit, a kind of cream and jam by the sea is exactly that. The vegan version comes with a coconut cream and was in place. They played 50s of music, Bobby Darin, and it's just a really great place. The staff were very dedicated and so nice to speak, they have done an amazing job, so please go when you get the chance!

so good to see places with vegan cream tees. Unfortunately, the scones were a bit stoney and dry, which is why I gave myself 2 stars.
