Selected coffees, teas and craft brews are well in stock at Ugly Becher. They will also discover food for the soul. The establishment has cultivated a friendly community atmosphere that will bring you back again and again. Come to the Fiddling Cricket and Canyon Acoustic Society music series and you will be well rewarded.
Love this place, it's an untouched piece of Santa Cruz county, a rarity here. A little bohemian, very nostalgic, super comforting. People are genuinely nice when helping you, be patient, the genuine article takes more than 4.5 minutes, totally worth it. I visit as often as possible but not enough. Yesterday I had their Coffee Cake Crimpy to accompany my Ray of Frickin Sunshine.....that was a yes all the way!
Since I had to leave my roots in Capitola, I missed this place. When I visit, I stop and grab a ray of freezing sunshine and everything feels right again until I have to go back to the dry desert that is San Joaquin Valley.
I love this place. Merely to call it our best neighborhood coffee shop and meeting point. Go on, Steve. And thank you again for showing me to Michael Franti.
