The White Horse

As I write this review, I still cannot believe what happened yesterday on our dining experience at the White Horse. We have dined there many times over the years, and we arrived in a party of and spent the best part of The food was pretty good, the service slow, but we were not in an hurry.The reason I had to downgrade the review, concerned my order for the Guinness pie. I did not want chips, but was offered an alternative of salad. Then in what I can only describe as a surreal moment, a plate of salad arrived with a solitary piece of pie, no gravy in the centre. When we drew attention to this odd mixture, the plate was removed and returned with just the pie and gravy, with the salad in a side dish. There was no sign of the carrots, broccoli and cauliflower that others had. I was so astonished, I unfortunately failed to take a photo, and as it was a family occasion did not want to cause any further fuss.If you experience a similar experience, I would be grateful if you could post a photo, as nobody will now will believe me.

We visited today for our anniversary. It was us, our son (age 1) and our small dog. The atmosphere is lovely, everywhere was clean and the food was DELICIOUS . We were served by a lovely young lady called Amy who I'd like to mention as she was fantastic and deserves praise for a good job. Our son's fish fingers were huge and well worth the price, the fish was excellent quality and the batter was spot on. I had the scampi and prawns and *chefs kiss* absolute perfection. My husband had the dressed crab and had no complaints either. Over all I'd highly rate this place and the staff.

Came across this place on the way to Cromer. Warm welcome as soon as we arrived. Great selection of specials. I had the shellfish salad lobster, crab and prawn cocktail . My Husband had the Cromer crab salad. Both were delicious . Super fresh salad with a balsamic dressing. All the waiters were smiley and helpful. We sat in the pretty garden. Would really recommend.

I have stayed here several times whilst going to Norwich on work trips. Never had a problem food is always great and the staff are quite entertaining at times..I would recommend you stay here if in the area. They also have a great selection of beers and ciders.So try it out.

Great setting lovely staff Hannah, Lou, Tracey and Amie nice cozy pub and beautiful food and service I will be a regular...
