My family I were very disappointed with our lunch and lack of customer service at The Windwhistle Inn. Extremely overpriced for burnt, dull food. Carvery was advised it was on, but it wasn’t. Customer service was poor, no smiles or pleasantries, no one cared to ask how our meal was which was awful anyway! They said it was a 25 minute wait which is fine! But they came out with our food over an hour later. No updates at all, no apologies. Other tables who joined after us, received their food before us. Compared to other reviews, the pub has definitely changed hands as the food didn’t look anything like the photos! This place has so much potential, it’s a real shame, and very disappointing.

If you go in the week, very expensive, but the breakfast menu at the weekend and carvery is very reasonably priced. Best place for children and adults. Kid-friendliness: Excellent play area and filter for the children’s Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5
