Tigers Family Restaurant sits on the first floor of a mixed use building (residential 2d floor), on North Broad Street, Lansdale. It is a cozy, homey place with both counter and tables, and small dining room all the way in back. Menu is pretty much All American, and the servers are friendly women who seemed to know everyone in the house, with the exception of this first timer. They knew everyone's name and engaged in running repartee with all the dudes at the six stool counter where I sat. The large blackboard listed all their daily breakfast and lunch specials, and I went with the Bacon Cheese Omelette with Roasted Red Peppers on top, and hot java. The plate was placed before me about 10 minutes later, with well done home fries and nibs and rye toast. While waiting I enjoyed the conversations around me and settled in. The omelette was good, with the taters well done and slice of toasted rye playing strong supporting roles. The Curtis Drip coffee was strong, and I appreciated the small stainless pitcher of milk provided with the joe. Overall, a completely satisfying breakfast with food and atmosphere contributing in equal measure.
