Really a 3.5 stars. Rounded up to a 4 because I 'm a sucker for their beer. Many people claim their beer all taste the same , but I disagree. They have different styles of beers. I mostly concentrate on their IPAs/DIPAs. Yes some of them are similar, they 're all unfiltered with some combinations of hops, malts and fruits, but they are also all different, and that 's what attract people. Plus they all have awesome names. So on average of all beers I have had and liked from there (a few hundreds? , I have to say they 're worth 4 stars. But when it comes to food oh how I wish they had better food. I with they have kept the food from the brew café, the interesting, creative, and eclectic food. Instead they just offer bar food/snacks. Their burger is at most OK, and tacos are very sub par. Compare to the café, I 'd have to say their food is 2 3 stars. They are crazy crowded during the weekend, so score a table or seat is difficult. The place has a weird echo that it 's hard to carry a conversation without shouting. It 's great to see different beer that are brewed onsite, but there can be all kinds of loud noises as well. Overall, I 'll continue to go for their beer, but that 's pretty much it.
Rude, racist treatment. My friend is black and he was asked to not speak so loudly, even though we could barely hear each other over the oktoberfest band in 2019. We all know what a dog whistle sounds like, a$$holes. Servers were very inexperienced in handling our families, which required high chairs for the kids. The food and the beer were forgettable. 9 months later, all I remember was that it was greasy pub trash. I have no idea what I ate there, nor do I ever plan to go back. We'll go some place that actually has some class.
Last night, my boyfriend and I ate at the Fermentaria. We ate exactly everything the same during the day except last night at the restaurant, I had a veggie burger and he had a regular burger. Within a few hours, he had diarrhea, vomiting, and sick with food poisoning. We've been there lots of times and I'm a fan of their beer, but clearly their food preparation is an issue. We're not the first people on Yelp to bring this issue to light and I'm waiting for a call back from them...
They make an excellent product but could not run their pickup service worse. I live nearby and can see the line is 50+ people long all day on weekends. Its 90 degrees out and theres no shade guys c'mon, figure out a way to run multiple pickup desks. Maybe open the garage door on cricket terrace? Maybe provide shade, or water or something? Waiting in that line sucks and its been months of pickup only now.
