Trattoria della Piazza

We came here on a sleepy Sunday afternoon. There were not too many places open, but this restaurant was open and had a terrace, so we gave it a try. The service was friendly and the terrace was nice. The menu had a lot of options to choose from, although no kids menu. The prices on the menu looked a bit steep, but I thought perhaps the meals themselves would merit the price. In the case of pastas, this was not the case. My mozzarella pasta had what must have been a very small mozzarella ball cut up into a number of small pieces, then tomato sauce and the pasta - I think this was around 24 or 26 CHF. It is always a bit of shame when meals are overpriced - not high prices, as it can be worth it - but priced beyond what is served. The location and weather did make the lunch comfortable.

Had s lovely meal. I ordered steak which was wonderful and a colleague the calamari platter which also looked greatWaiter was very attentive and wanted to make sure you enjoyed your meal. You won't be disappointed if you eat here I'm sure. Note - Switzerland is expensive so don't be surprised by the cost. The price I paid CHF 65 per person is about average. You might get a cheaper pizza meal but don't be surprised if this sets you back CHF 35 per person.

Friendly - Italian atmosphere! Good Food and nice terrasse. The street is a bit noisy, but this is probably a part of the Italian feeling?

If you stop by Sierre and are looking for a not too expensive restaurant, I can recommend this one. We had a very nice lunch.

The best and most authentic Pizzeria in town, from the cook to the waiters, they are all Italians!!!
