The miso soup by non-included not yet listed as so is very welcomed as not where I otherwise tasted it as authentic. It is as if every portion receives a fresh piece of white ****, fresh onions, seaweed and handcuff tofu. I enjoy very much the ika (squid) and soft scarf crabbentempura, una-don (broiled eel and egg over seasoned rice), the chirashi (fresh sashimi cuts over seasoned rice) the nasu-dengaku (deep roasted eggplant coated in a miso/mirin paste, I believe) and her sobaail The green tea is delicious, and seems to come automatically, maybe that's just because I'm a more regular? Don't know, but don't let the reserved nature of the Japanese couple that leads it. They are quiet but friendly, hard working and daaaaayum, the woman can cook! x
Small, cute place – like many in the center of Bordentown – and it seems that some have and operate it. They are reserved, but that allowed us to enjoy our time and not take away from service. The ambience of the place is peaceful in one word. My wife and I stopped for lunch. I had seen Tsukasa before I went through town, and when I was in the mood for Japanese, I suggested we try here. Excellent authentic food with good portions. We shared an order from gyoza for an appetizer; I ordered the Tsukasa Bento for a meal and my wife had the Okame Udon. We finished the meal with Green Tea Mochi. Overall impression: excellent! I wish I had worked closer so I could eat more often for lunch... We definitely plan to go back to dinner soon!
Cute little hole in the wall through what seems to be an older couple. Very quiet and clean inside. I ordered sushi and some takoyaki. The sushi was excellent, but unfortunately the Takoyaki was a frozen and microwave deal. Didn't expect much of him to begin as next to no places in NJ have takoyaki, so I can only create a star for them. Above average different.
Loved this place, mom and pop restaurant, they are from Japan too imagine that. Sushi is so fresh we make noises when we eat, sushi pieces are just the right size
