I?m so glad that I tried this place while visiting Nola. I only felt it was right given how long it has been around and it surely didn?t disappoint. You can?t go wrong with whatever you get here, but my highlights of the meal were surely the shrimp and grits as well as the bread pudding. Recently at Tujague?s for my birthday dinner and it was great!. From the moment we walked in the staff made our visit a lovely experience. The hosts were welcoming and prompt. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We ordered off the Coolinary menu which was a 3 course meal for $45 each. We found this gem while Searching for a place in NOLA for Thanksgiving, and it did not disappoint! It was a fixe menu, and each option was heavenly, from the delectable oyster and aubergine soup, to the traditional Thanksgiving fare, and the scrumptious sweet potato bread pudding with praline sauce. The servers were kind and quick, and damn was this place packed! Clearly not a hidden gem, but a gem nonetheless.
Fast and friendly service. We got bread pudding, pork belly, butter garlic noodles, and crab cakes. Most of the food was pretty good. However, the butter noodles needed salt and could have been mixed more. Most of the sauce was clumped on top.
