Unfortunately there are not many decent halal options in Redditch, well not in the town centre (to my knowledge). I initially hesitated to visit this takeaway due to the reviews but as I was staying nearby for work, I got sick of going to Pepe's...(which is a bit further up the road) I visited Turkish Delight on two consecutive days and got the same Chicken Shish Kebab order. Chicken Shish is one of my favourite dishes to order and I've tried it in many different places. The chicken in Turkish Delight was fairly bland and without the sauces (I asked for) it would have been awful. If you're hungry and stuck for choices then give this place a try as it might be to your taste. As I've had better in the past, I don't think it deserves a five star rating. Also, the manager is very friendly and polite and I had a good conversation with him whilst I was waiting for my food.
I came here to buy large doner kebab meals with curry sauce which cost The guy switched on the kebab burners to warm the meat up before he cut it but our kebabs were stone cold when we started eating them. The curry...sauce had been taken out of the freezer and warmed up in the microwave. When I got home it was runny af and cold... I put the curry sauces in a bowl and warmed it up in the microwave. It obviously wasn’t made right because the stuff they had in the freezer was concentrated curry sauce. Which is why it thickened up in the microwave like a cake. My problem is they let me leave knowing the mistake bcus they were talking about it when I exited the doorway but I didn’t clock onto what they was saying until I got home. Please see pic of curry sauce... Don’t bother eating from this kebab place as they couldn’t give a toss...
As a family we love Turkish food and have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed with the food we have received. To get the variety we have the mixed hot and cold Mezza and have found it too filling to follow it...with a main course. We now have the Mezza with a couple of additional side dishes and find it to be better, the shish tawook is lovely.
Small space waitress gives you a menu when you arrive and stands over you waiting to take the order, a bit off putting really. Food tasty but was thrown onto the plate not arranged.
