Umai Umai - Tisch reservieren

First date with my spouse in awhile and we went back to Umai for the first time in probably 10 years. Was glad to see it hasn't changed much! Still a cozy little haunt with excellent service and delicious food. Menu still had my favorites- hot rocks, shishito peppers, escolar, and all the rolls. Some folks commented on smaller portion sizes which might be true but the prices are more than reasonable given the exceptional quality of the food.

The rolls here were SO GOOD. Very unique and interesting combinations. The Ping Pong Roll was our favorite (topped with pineapple salsa) which made for a very refreshing bite in summer weather. Really loved the Nemo Roll which had a nice crunch! Only thing was our plates weren't washed too well (had some dust/soap residue) but the waitress kindly gave us a new set. The brussels sprout salad also look amazing, will have to come back to try!

dinner for 4 on a Friday night, outside with a rez. we have the luck to taste sushi in many states and a few different continental and umai umai is a respectable finisher. very delicious and creative rolling with fresh and attractive fish. only critique would be the size of the fish portions that were in order, but certainly not essential. Nevertheless, we would go back in a way.

we loved this place. great energy. great food. the fusionspaella was delicious and the mistsuppe was the best we had. the chirashi was beautifully prepared and had the most beautiful aromen. a highlight of our visit in philly!

the crispy Brussels salad was to die! the sushi was also amazing. a must-tea-mountain spin!
