We have repeatedly stayed at the Hotel Ochsen for a short break and can only recommend it if you like it rustic. The rooms and bathrooms have certainly been around for a few years but they are clean and well maintained. The mattresses provide great comfort. If possible, you should take rooms with a balcony and a view of Lake Constance (ok.. you can't see Lake Constance from every room with a balcony). The breakfast doesn't quite meet the standard that the hotel has set for itself. The selection of sausages and cheeses could be a little more extensive scrambled eggs etc. should also be standard in this category. The food in the restaurant is very good with a good selection of wines. The service staff is extremely polite, courteous and warm. We'd love to come back!! Walkability: The hotel is located in close proximity to the waterfront promenade. The city center is also close by via the pedestrian zone that ends at the hotel.
Wir kommen immerwieder sehr gerne in den Ochsen, und auch mehrfach im Jahr. Jedesmal fühlen wir uns wie zu Hause. Sehr freundliches Personal, superleckere Küche Hotel liegt sehr zentral, alles gut erreichbar. Wir reisen mit Hund, und fühlen uns wohl, weil Hunde dort noch willkommen sind. Vielen lieben Dank an die guten Reinigungskräfte, die sehr gründlich arbeiten...ohne grosses Tamtam, was wir als Reisende mit Hund sehr zu schätzen wissen... Ein Hotel, das sich seinen alten Charme bewahrt hat. Wer was zu meckern hat, meckert auf hohem Niveau. P.S. Die Plastikbecher sind bestimmt austauschbar.
waren für zwei Tage hier. Das ganze Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind etwas älter, aber sauber und das Bett gemütlich. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr lecker und die Portionen reichlich. Der Kellner hat immer einen guten Spruch auf den Lippen. Frühstück auch abwechslungsreich. Hotel hat eine gute Lage und einen eigenen Parkplatz. Hotel highlights: Great view
We were here for dinner today, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the service is very friendly and competent. The food was actually delicious, but unfortunately little things like the meat were nice and hot and the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. It's a shame, otherwise it would have deserved 5 stars.
