Urban Sushi & Grill

My son and I treated 'Mom' to a Birthday supper surprize and were extremely pleased with this dining experience. We've been here 3 or 4 times this year and have always had a positive meal, but this this was the best dinner we have had here yet! Not sure if there was a change in kitchen staff or what but we were very, very happy with the service, quality and quantity of meal portions and friendly, attentive staff. Made reservations in the 'traditional' seating section and started the evening with the Veggie combo platter, bowl of Miso soup and bottle of Sake - see pic. Yam fries sushi rolls are really neat and tasty! Followed with Veggie Teriyaki w tofu (one with rice, the other with noodles) and a Bim HotStone Rice Bowl for 'Mom' - see pics. Everything was extremely fresh, veggies were steamed properly and sauces were not over powering or too salty. We were hungry when we arrived but there was so much great, filling food that we ended up taking a container of mixed items home. All orders were prepared as requested (no MSG, no onions) and arrived at the same time, absolutely smoking hot on the hot plates! No rush to leave as the restaurant was fairly quiet (only 9 other diners seated at tables) but the take-out never ever stopped! I noticed on this and previous visits, that the take-out orders far exceed the dine in. Fabulous family celebration, fantastic food and unique dining ambiance for $82 - well worth the ten minute drive to this tasty and memorable location in Emerald Park. My birthdays next!!

This small eating place is tucked away in a strip mall in Emerald Park, 15 minutes east of Regina. But it is a very pleasant experience with excellent Asian cuisine. There are many varieties of sushi, all very tasty and attractive. The staff is small and the service is slow. The owner/chef is very hospitable and friendly and is happy to photograph his guests and keep a display on his wall.

Typically we enjoy a business luncheon at this restaurant at least once a week. It is in close proximity with my place of work, Emerald Park Homes. The food tastes as good as it looks. The presentation of the rolls is fantastic. The diverse menu has something for everyone.

Worth the drive out of town, you will get top quality food for a great price. Service was fast and friendly. Food tasted great, fish was very fresh.

Very good sushi.. and a nice teriyaki chichen. .always fresh and served with a smile ...... traditional Japanese seating available
