"After a long day of sightseeing, at least a dozen of our coach party went to this restaurant for their evening meal. Our experiences varied greatly depending on the selection from the menu. It was offered badly for me as the menu Paella, which usually only comes for two people, but it was said that it was not available anyway. I know my French is far from flowing, but I think I know enough to order two half bottles of Bordeaux, which came as a small glass of red wine that was changed into a half bottle with some difficulties. My food companion never got her half bottle. I ordered Aroz tamboril con gambas that I understand to mean rice with monks and shrimps. I guess there were about 100g of monks in tiny dice, a yarn [I counted] and at least 500g of rice. It was delicious, but disappointing in the extreme and not good value at E21.50. I rarely eat dessert, except when there is cream brulee on the menu that there was. But since when has the Custard base been a running liquid? Of my three companions, one had the smell that was perfectly cooked to their taste and had no fat or grin; the other two ladies ordered the ducks that both felt was unbearable. They tried their best, but both left 90% of the steak on their plate, as impossible to separate the Gristle from the flesh; just too hard. Another member of our party described her Tiramisu as the worst she ever cost. I just talked to a couple who liked their food. Another couple complained about payment and offered a 10% discount they originally rejected and felt 20% more reasonable, but the management was immobile. If you have only three nights in France, a country known for its cuisine is very disappointing to go home with a bad culinary experience."

After a long day of sightseeing, at least a dozen of our coach party went for their evening meal at this restaurant. Our experiences varied greatly depending on our selection from the menu. Started badly for me as the menu offered paella which normally comes for two persons only but was told it wasn't available anyway. I know my French is far from fluent but i consider I know enough to order two half bottles of Bordeaux, which came as one small glass of red wine which, with some difficulty, was changed to a half bottle. My dining companion never did get her half bottle. I ordered arroz tamboril con gambas which I understand to mean rice with monkfish and prawns. I reckon there was about 100g of monkfish in tiny cubes, one prawn [I counted] and at least 500g of rice. It was tasty but disappointing in the extreme and not good value at E21.50. I rarely eat dessert except when there is creme brulee on the menu which there was. But since when is the custard base a runny liquid? Of my three dining companions, one had the rump which was cooked perfectly to her liking and had no fat or gristle whatsoever; the other two ladies ordered the entrecote which both felt was inedible. They tried their best but both left 90% of the steak on their plate as being impossible to separate the gristle from the meat; just too hard. Another member of our party described her tiramisu as the worst she has ever tasted. I only spoke to one couple who liked their meal. Another couple complained when paying and were offered a 10% discount which they initially refused and felt 20% more reasonable but management were immovable. When you only have three nights in France, a country known for its cuisine, to go home with a bad dining experience is very disappointing.
