A wonderful local tavern with a small garden, they were just closed, but we were still allowed to order food and wine, and what delicious food ! Ham plate, various cheeses, quiche and salad. We got the house red wine, and it turned out to be a wonderful Ch. Larrieu-Terrefort from Margaux. The dessert consisted of several small glasses of sweets and espresso. We did not ask for the prices and they had no menu, they served what they had. Food and drink cost about 40 euros for two. The place is a little gem that is highly recommended !.
We arrived in Margaux at lunch time with no plans and stumbled onto this restaurant. An excellent find as we had a table in the shade in the garden, friendly efficient service and great food. My husband had a large Greek salad and I had a mixed plate consisting of a quiche, large green salad, cheese, charcuterie and some fruit. We finished it up by sharing a cafe gourmande, delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for a casual meal in Margaux.
We were in the mood for a very simple, no frills lunch. This was the perfect place. They had 2 choices. We had a lovely plate of homemade quiche, salad, cheese and charcuterie. The food was simple but delicious. We had a glass of house Margaux wine which was also wonderful. Highly recommend if you are looking for a simple, inexpensive but delicious food.
We stopped at this salon de the for lunch on a side street after visiting a winery. Very charming garden, lovely staff and plentiful portions, especially for the price. Would highly recommend for lunch.
