Vinh Thuan - Tisch reservieren

We just got some take away Mongolian Beef, Special Fried Rice and Honey Chicken. Indeed the rice was 'special', incredibly oily and otherwise tasteless - they didn't even fill up the container. The Mongolian Beef was like no other - it didn't taste anything like it and Mongolian beef appears to be pretty consistent across Melbourne so I could tell this was not right. We tried to order the honey chicken with honey on the side and the chef said it couldn't be prepared that way (other restaurants have done this for us)... well last I checked, you fry the chicken in oil not honey, then you add honey, so don't say it cant be done; so I compromised and asked for a very small amount; well the chicken was utterly saturated in honey - and to top things off they didn't put a lid on it, they just put it in a paper bag and failed to tell us, so when it moved in the car it spilt all over the rest of contents in the plastic bag - luckily not on my car! The whole meal was very disappointing, most of which was thrown out.

When reviewing the menu, it listed some of the ingredients but, secretly, it had extra ones. Not good for people who have allergies! I had both prawns and mushrooms on my meal, in spite of neither being listed on the menu, and the other 4 people who ate with us also had bonus food, some of which we had no idea what it was. The food that didn't make us sick because of allergies was very poor quality too. While it is cheap, it is not worth it. Perhaps if you spoke Vietnamese then you could get past that, but for us English speakers, it was awful.

This restaurant has declined since opening. There is an extensive menu but quality does vary on each visit. I have been there a few times a good experience and then not so good experience There is off street parking at the rear with a back door entrance to the restaurant. The staff can be good or distracted. Springs rolls are very good and there is a good side room for larger groups or a quieter dining experience.

Great lunch, quality food but service pretty basic. The young lady taking orders needs to smile. The young man with the beverages was very good. Food was good quality and very reasonably priced.

Love this place and its food..very tasty and authentic. Bit quieter tha Chef Lagenda but with same high quality of food.
