This is a traditional Viennese neighborhood restaurant with a huge, huge menu, lots of specials every night, gigantic portions always, and amazingly reasonable prices. It's a decent sized place and almost always full, so that's a clue to what you will find here. They do have an English menu if you need it. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is warm (lots of wood and traditional decor). Most plates are served with plenty of sides (salads, etc.). Prices are quite reasonable, with dinner for two running around 30 euro total when all is said and done. It's the kind of place you can eat in a few nights a week as alternative to cooking.
I had a chance to visit this nice local place. I was told they changed the owner ...It is really clean, service is good and food is great :) beer is cold, of course :)We managed to get a table, thogh it was fully booked. One can get here with U1 and 10 min walk :) During summer - great place near a private beach ... parking is possible... nice decoration... smoking and non-smoking area is available. Menus are in English, German, Russian (according to previous visitors)
We were hungry and so fortunate to find this charming restaurant. There is an outside patio where we sat, enjoying the sun, and inside a welcoming dining area. I had roast pork au jus, served with a bread dumpling and warm cabbage salad while my companion had the beef goulash. Very savoury. We recommend this restaurant highly. Add two cold beer to the meal and the cost was € 24. Excellent value.
April 2022: Sehr nette Wirtsleute. Man fühlt sich auch in den Gasträumen sehr wohl. Zügige und herzliche Bedienung. Es wurde immer wieder vorbeigeschaut ob wir Wünsche hätten (ohne aufdringlich zu sein). Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Sehr empfehlenswert.
