There were five of us and we were late due to a traffic jam but we called ahead to warn them. We were given a very warm welcome, the chef came out to welcome us. The food was just terrific. We noted that the Menu du Jour, called the Menu du Marche looked very attractive but we went into the dining room where there was a choice 2 menus and a la carte. The Amuse Bouche were delicious. It was lunch so we did not have aperitif but later a red and white wine. both were excellent. The menu at 39 E is very very good value. The white asparagus in a couli of water cress melts in your mouth. the fish course delicious, one guest thought it a bit salty. Then there was lamb and steak. The steak was cooked to perfection. We ordered the desserts ahead of time and they were spectacular. All in all a lovely find. Two had the steak as a main course and two had the lamb tagine. Another had an extra fish course
We had lunch at Voyage des Sens restaurant and this was our best experience in any restaurant so far during this summer break. We chose the menu du marché 22€ which is truly high value. The Chef only uses local produce and makes it a point to list all his suppliers at the end of the à la Carte menu. The service was professional and the staff could not be more helpful. A must visit when in the region. To me this restaurant truly deserves one Michelin Star.
We live about an hour and a half's drive from this restaurant, but regularly find an excuse to make the trip. Nicolas has a wonderful feeling for food, flavours and presentation so that every dish is a treat. Julie runs the service with charm and a smile. The dining room is cosy in winter, and the terrace a delight in the summer. Thoroughly recommended!
Hugely recommended, we feasted on some delicious dishes on the tasting menu. Pretty outdoor seating and some tables indoors too. A small team of staff who are happy to explain the ingredients that make up the magical dishes. Good portions, lovely presentation. Can’t ask for more. A wonderful experience.
