Wellnesshotel Hohenrodt

The three of us were there for a wellness weekend. The room was very nice for our needs. We even had our own living room and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator. The bathroom was newer, the rest of the room was a bit old but well maintained. The room cleaning was a bit chaotic. One bed was made, the other not. We only booked breakfast, which was delicious and had a good selection. On the first evening we ate a la carte in the hotel restaurant. The food was good but the service was subpar. The table was only set for 2 and we had to point out twice that a place setting was still missing. One meal took almost half an hour longer than the other two. While we were removing it, the waitress dropped a fork, which was still there when we left half an hour later. On the second evening the service was significantly better. However, there was also a different service person and there was a buffet. What really didn't work was the cake that was offered at lunch. Thawed cake with a lot of chemicals and strange taste. It doesn't always have to be baked yourself, but at least buy something worth buying or get something from the Bachshop in the neighboring Aldi. Anything better than that! Wellness area is modern and still fairly new. You can get water and tea for free.

I'll start with the positive: The food is great, breakfast and dinner. Despite half board, you have to pay separately for each drink in the evening... I don't know of any hotel like this. The friendliness of the staff depends very much on the person in question, there are some who are very nice and some who are not interested at all and make that clear. Then you can wait 40 minutes for dessert. The TV didn't work the last two days of our stay. It's extremely noisy, you can hear the reception all the way into the room. Every door that closes, every guest in the hallway. Someone runs around with a grass trimmer all day long and cuts entire meadows with it... In addition, some of the rooms are probably being renovated, with open windows and every 5 minutes someone rattles something loudly across the terrace. Even during the wellness treatments you can constantly hear the people in the rooms next door. We're leaving today and probably won't be back. Rooms: small but ok Food drinks: Very tasty food.

Nice hotel..friendly staff. Clean and groomed. It is constantly being renewed and renovated. Nice rooms with balconies. Large breakfast buffet. At half board there is a 5 course menu in the evening. For the main course you can choose from 3-4 dishes in advance. Wellness area with pool, whirlpool. Sauna area and treatments. Rooms: 5 Service: 5

War toll für das zweite Mal innerhalb von 3 Wochen, das Personal war schön und zuvorkommend, das Wert-Verhältnis war großartig, das Wellness-Angebot war großartig. Immer gerne zurückkommen Zimmer: 5 Service: 5 Standort: 5
