"I have eaten here many times in the past but I have noticed standards steadily going downhill. My daughter and myself had the full English which has diminished in size considerably. We had two overcooked rashers of bacon. Two very skinny sausages a tiny portion of beans and 1 egg. The hash brown was not homemade but the type you’d get at the supermarket freezer section. The breakfasts here used to be superb but portion sizes have decreased so much and not nicely prepared. The cappachino was lukewarm and the americano served with cold milk. We will not be giving the restaurant any future business unfortunately."

Bought house stuff from here before, called in to look at lights, could not find any (a lot of tacky shiny chrome stuff from China at big money) so went into their Wickentree cafe for some lunch, wish we hadnt bothered. The prices were ridiculous for what was served. Mango and Brie Crispy Bites served with sweet chilli sauce £5.95... This was two tiny out of the freezer filo bites deep fried with a thimble of sauce! Homemade Soup of the Day £6.95... Decent soup but tiny 1/2 size bowl with a small piece of bread.. Hot Chicken and Bacon Caesar Wrap with hot chicken fillet, dry cured bacon, cos lettuce, parmesan cheese and caesar dressing £10.50.. Gosh, sounds great however reality was way diffrent! Not hot, no cheese and about 1/2 the size of a wrap you get for lunch from Tesco! Large Chips £4.25 These were a joke, a small shaker of frozen fries, we questioned the portion, they said it was the large, we told them it was ridiculous and sent it back for a credit. The pleasant person serving agreed and said it is crazy, poor staff having to suffer needless customer issues. We dont mind paying the prices provided its decent value and quality but not when they are taking the mick. No wonder the owners cut about in Porsches and Bentleys with multi-million pound homes. Fair play if they gave decent value but shame on em ' for ripping normal folk off! AVOID Stick to John Lewis...

On visiting the store to make some purchases, myself and my Daughter, decided to have some lunch, my Daughter chose soup, which was tomato with vegetables, I chose HOT chicken and bacon wrap, when food arrived soup was Luke warm, HOT chicken wrap was cold, I returned to the counter and explained on menu it says it’s HOT, ok no problem it’s returned to my table HOT. On leaving the restaurant the restaurant Manageress is passing, I thought it might be helpful to give her some feedback, about our experience today, firstly I told her the soup was like some cheap tinned soup that was Luke warm, her response, was that two other people had just told her how lovely it was and she liked it, well that must be ok then.So we moved on to discuss the HOT COLD chicken wrap, I told her it was served COLD, yet on the menu it says it’s served HOT, her response was it will of been HOT, but the lettuce and Cesar sauce will of brought the temperature down to make it cooler, no.it wasn’t cooler, the chicken was like it had had been in the fridge, her response was quite worrying when I think about it, we don’t keep chicken in the fridge. Could you please tell me how you store your chicken prior to serving it in your response. Not a pleasant experience on this occasion and a very condescending response

Visited here at the weekend and will be the last, we have been here at least 3 times before, and neither visit has been great, one occasion my elderly mother was given brown sauce instead of strawberry jam for her scones in which from the pot was then to ruin her scone, they are very busy and are probably rushing. My husband ordered cheese on toast, and I had a sandwich with supposed large chips to share. The chips arrived, which were tiny in a metal chip basket , so has you know you are not getting a large portion into one of them, so what the small looks like god knows 6 chips I wonder? because there was around 10 when we counted in the large, the chips I have never seen anything more disgusting for a chip they were swimming in grease even dripping onto the plate, they were sent back, what chef cook would send that out from the kitchen and think that they look nice and the customer would enjoy them?the next lot was only a little bit better not great, by this point we couldn't be bothered, the sandwich and cheese on toast were nice, Along with this my husband had a bottle of lager and I had a processco, it was very expensive for what we had £45 ! For absolutely nothing special. There are much better places to spend our money.

Had Lunch with my friend at the Wicken tree Restaurant in Housing Units 14/11/2023, well if you can call it lunch... We ordered the warm chicken wrap each 1 side order of chips to share which consisted of about twelve chips. The wrap was really poor in size, 1 wrap cut in half, the chicken was cold, when we spoke to the waitress she said it was because it had salad on it that's why it was cold. The chips had been put on one of the plates with the wrap on rather than on a separate plate/dish.. We also had capaccino drinks which because of the 30 minute wait for food were cold by the time our so called meals arrived... The price was £10.50 for the wraps £1.95 a portion of chips, extortionate for what we got... Needless to say myself my friend will never eat there again.
