Windsor Castle Pub

I haven 't been to the Windsor Castle for a good few years. My local has changed hands and caused me a problem. Where can I get good pub grub? The Windsor Castle was always good but things change, so I thought I 'd give it a go. First up the barman/waiter could not be more accommodating. 5 2nd I asked for an IPA. One I 'd never heard of and sorry it has slipped my mind now.. Great but of course personal taste. Then the food. The menu is 'short '. That can be a problem but also I think it is better to do a few things well rather than a lot of things badly or average. I took a burger that was clearly home made and very tasty. It was presented well and was reasonably priced for the area. Picture attached simply as I sent a gloating WhatsApp to my daughter. It 's a few extra minutes walk from my office but I will definitely go again. Enjoy.

Great place! Bit smaller than the photos but it's expected in London. The staff are LOVELY and the clientele are also nice too. I didn't have food but I did bring my dog and they were really dog friendly. Even got him a dog bowl as soon as I arrived (not sure how they knew I was walking in). The location is great too because I was able to walk to Greenwich park quickly as well. Lovely experience and will return again.
