we are regularly at the gasthof bauer for lunch and best satisfied. the kitchen is absolutely excellent (Austrian cuisine) with reasonable price level. there are in general 2 low-priced midday menus at approx. eur 7; in addition, there are always a number of day dishes as well as the standard card. Special requests are mostly not a problem. the beer (tree gardener fairies or more gösser) is well maintained and from the faß. really great is also the service with the warm-harmant services. the food comes mostly really flink. the spatial areas are modern and still rurally cozy. the tables well maintained. in the summer, the gas garden with 2 old chestnut trees offers pleasant shade.The public is multi-layered: workers, hired, schärdinger, many passauer (flüchte von der passauer Tourist-Küchte), police and rettung, older and young. we drive approx. 18 km to the farmer, but that's always worth it.
we were eating here last night, the gastronomic garden is very nice. the restaurant was recommended as a secret tip. I would call it "a halfway"; we are used to a much better life from a very normal farmer's house. the personal was friendly but totally overwhelmed. for the dessert I had to wait almost 30 minutes. When I asked, I was told that the kitchen had to bring the suppe out for the high time. on my innocence regarding the long waiting period (after dinner lasted longer than the main meal) I got as answer "then you have to go somewhere else." this would have been all different formulated to make sure understanding.
the restaurant is beautifully situated. from the garden you have a super look. eating was very good. the personal is friendly. the only point of criticism: it was unfortunately not at the same time. between the first and the last main court (we were there with 7 people) were about 15 minutes. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied and would recommend the restaurant.
Liebe Alle, ich habe dieses Restaurant einmal während meiner Geschäftsreise besucht. Ich hatte ein Mittagessen mit meinen österreichischen Kollegen. Nettes Personal, gute Englischkenntnisse. Gutes Essen, durchschnittliche Preise. Probieren Sie das lokale Bier. Versuchen Sie das Wiener Schnitzel. Schönes Gericht. Genießen Sie es.
