The food looked nice but had no taste. We both had lamb shwarma, his in a pita (which he said tastes like cardboard) and mine in a bowl drowning in two sauces, a tahini one and an umba one (orange, spicy). Unfortunately no one had ordered lamb recently and unlike more restaurants they didn't trim away the burned overcooked bits so mine was very overcooked and largely inedible. On the bright side the portion was large so I was able to pick around and eat the salad bits and a couple of bites of lamb. Maybe shwarma is not the thing to eat here. You order at the counter then find a table. But they still offer you the opportunity to tip for service.
A modern, hip eatery with a minimal menu, fast friendly service and very tasty healthy food. There are cool comfortable counter-height seating indoors and a small cozy sun-drenched patio. We keep coming back for the generously sized, crunchy-chewy mouth-watering turkey shawarma; colourful gourmet salads with attractive colours and texture and pleasing presentation! Only two shawarma options: lamb or turkey; also a couple salads and some hummus and falafel, Everything on the menu is lean and hearty with clean flavours. The turkey shawarma is the best I have tried in Western Canada!
I am getting to be a regular here and come with friends or solo.The food is very fresh and flavourful.My favourites are hummous bowls and the kale salad with halloumi- cheesey nuggets of deliciousness!! I am also a big fan of their limonana which is extremely tasty.I think the food is good value and consistent,both important considerations.
I have only tried the falafel wrap but it is so good I can't bring myself to try anything else (except the occasional half order of those deadly spiced fries with lemon yoghurt dip!). The wraps are really fresh - the home made pickles and slice of beet are just perfect additions. It's a perfect place to grab a quick lunch downtown.
