Zeytoon Cafe - Tisch reservieren

Zeytoon has recently reopened with a new menu and a complete redesign of their restaurant. The staff is very well-informed about which items are vegan or can be made vegan. The food is delicious and fresh, making it the best Mediterranean cuisine I have ever tried in Orange County. Some of the vegan options that are particularly tasty include dolmas, hummus, babaganoush, muhummara, tabbouleh, marinated olives, lentil soup, falafel, salads (without cheese or meat), Moroccan carrots (without feta), maneesh flatbread (other pizzas can be made vegan without cheese or meat), falafel pita, and crudite (without ranch dressing). There are more vegan choices available, but we did not have a chance to try everything.

My husband ordered a lamb burger without the bun and was surprised by its small size, comparable to an apricot. It came with a side of fries, but he was still hungry when we got home. Additionally, they were out of items such as wine, fish, and dessert that we had requested. This was my second visit to the restaurant and unfortunately, I do not intend to return. Despite the disappointing experience, the flavors of the food were actually quite good.

I tried the falafel wrap at this restaurant and found it to be a bit expensive for the portion size. The menu mainly consists of Middle Eastern cuisine and there are limited options. While the food was labeled as vegetarian, I had to inquire about which items were vegan.

Food was faultless but a little overpriced. Service was pretty nonexistent. We got one glass of water and didn’t see our server again. Surcharges for extra sauces seems petty.

We had a fantastic experience! We ordered the falafel hummus plate, olives, shrimp, octopus and chicken shawarma. Everything was great for splitting!
