I would never have thought of reviewing what is basically a bread shop, but this establishment's produce is superb! It is situated on the road from Villars to Bex at a place which is called variously Barbalousaz, La Barboleuse and variations on these. I always refer to it as Be-bop-a-loo-la, which gives away my age. Everything we have bought from this shop has been excellent, if pricey. The price of bread in Switzerland always comes as a shock. One sweet speciality looks and tastes like a cross between brandy-snaps and peanut brittle and is called tuiles which translates as tiles. Delicious but beware of losing your fillings! Their sandwiches are varied, their own bread filled with tuna, beef, cheese etc can be customised and ordered in advance and are good value at SFR 5 apiece, when you compare the price with that of a Waitrose BLT sarnie these days! I'm pretty sure this is a family business. The people who serve you are all lovely. They do sweets and cakes too which look wonderful
