After a hike in the woods we dropped into the Can Pech because we remembered having a drink there the year before & liking the ambience: 'a clean, well-lighted place' with a friendly & humorous proprietor. This time we had the plat du jour, a pork chop grilled to order with sautéed potatoes, honest plain food perfectly cooked, bread & 25cl of wine per person thrown in for 10 euros. You may get fancier but you won't get better in Arles. Chouette.

Ordered a steak hache which was inedible; it came with over boiled and then fried haricots verts. Sent the dish back. An aggressive argument then ensued and I was made to pay for it. I was then thrown out. My worst experience in France in 50 years.
We have eaten here for the last 3 years during our week long holidays in Begur.
