The other day I was enjoying a meal at Yes, please (just around the corner) and I ran into a couple on the sidewalk). They were vegans and gluten free and were just returning from picking up an order at this (Better Half). They told me that Better Half had lots of vegan options and offered gluten free bread options. I tried to eat here a few times but I always seemed to turn up on the days there were closed. (They are also closed on Mondays). Anyway, I was leaving town on Tuesday and dropped in there. They serve on real plates nice. I ordered the roasted broccolini on a gluten free bun. It looked like a delicious sandwich and the taste lived up to the visual. It was exceptional. It was very tasty bold, flavourful, with great texture, and it was messy. I think a good sandwich is better if it oozes out some of its goodness. I wish that they were completely vegan and I would have given them a 5 star rating. Updated from previous review on 2022 12 03
I went to the new cart located on Mississippi. I had the vegan TLT, the veggie Italian, vegan sausage cheddar, vegan eat your veggies w/ added hashbrown. All the sandwiches were delicious, the hash browns were perfectly seasoned not greasy. I’ve gone with non vegan friends they love both the vegan non vegan sandwiches. I would def give 5 stars if I could. Can’t wait to go back! Updated from previous review on 2024-04-24
Better Half makes killer sandwiches. Half of their menu is vegan so they have a ton of options. I’ve tried most of the breakfast sandwiches and they have all been bomb I especially like the breakfast TLT and the Classic Breakfast sandwich. The Jackfruit Mojo is great too. Literally it’s all so good. They also make their own chips!
The broccolini sandwich is so good, has loads of garlic in it. All the veg sandwiches are amazing, as are the salads and breakfast sandwiches. Doesn’t feel like there’s a point in having meat options here because the vegan options kick ass.
