Nice small local little tavern. We got there shortly before the dinner rush so we didn?t have a long wait for anything. Service was very attentive and friendly. We started with the jalepeno poppers. Sorry no photo. They were excellent and we devoured them quickly! Highly recommend. I got the Cobb salad. Nice portion and the dressings were excellent ! (I tried blue cheese and the ranch). We?re somewhat local (Tryon, NC) and have been to Brooks Tavern many times. It?s ALWAYS excellent! While so many dishes on the menu are wonderful, we have to give props to the fried mushroom appetizer, Smash burger and the Monte Cristo sandwich. The whole staff is super friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. We highly recommend Brooks Tavern to locals and visitors to the area. And the Giggle Water will make her giggle?
If I could do more than 5 stars I would. Their burger is absolutely amazing. Grilled mushrooms, grilled jalapeño peppers, and grilled onions definitely recommended. The chicken tenders even are phenomenal. The food is filled with flavor we couldn?t stop eating it! Not to mention the vibes were great and the ceiling was filled with character. Will definitely return every time I am in the area!
The food was fantastic- but dont plan to get out fast. 35+ min for appetizer with entrees right behind. We were quite hungry and trying to keep a schedule so today was a bit painful for us, but we'd go back for sure, just knowing to have the time and empty belly! the bacon is incredible! chicken sandwich easily serves two ???????????? so yum!!
