Bugsy's is a pretty chill place to hang out with friends and family. For a sports bar, the food is pretty dang good. I wouldn't say they are among the best pizza places in the area but they certainly beat out the food of any sports bar in Alexandria. I would also say that their outdoor seating is the best spot for people watching. Get yourself a high-top table along the promenade and enjoy the crowd. Maybe you will even get a glimpse of the Batman dude walking around. My buddy says this place has been here forever so it sounds like it is a local favorite which means the business brings joy to people. So I am very much supportive of that.
Amazing Pizza! We were there with a group of 26 people, and I know they were expecting us, but the pizza was ready fast and delicious. I had slices of the vegetable pizza and also the spinach pizza, which was my favorite. Others in the group had cheese and pepperoni pizzas. The pizza crust is thick but not bland. They offered a salad bar which was pretty basic, but everything was fresh. When we asked one of our waiters about the history of the restaurant, he took time to tell us the background of it, which was interesting.
Food was not bad. The background music did not accompany the meal for a slow Friday afternoon may be for a Friday evening). Asked severs to either change station or turn down music, but they indicated they were unable to do so either out of the restaurant's owner policy, the server's ignorance, or the server's negligence. The atmosphere is part of what we pay. I shall not be taking family to eat here again. Also, not ADA friendly for reaching restrooms.
Overall, the pizza was great, and the atmosphere was nice. Reasonably priced food. Very lively location on King Street with other eateries and shops to choose from.
