Not sure if this was an off night but overall was disappointed for the price point and qualifications. Brief summary below: Positives: 1) Beautifully plated dishes. Each dish is work of art with thoughtful construction. 2) Delicious amuse bouches and petit fours. The egg, razor clams, tuna tartare, smoked trout, and venison tartare were wonderful and showed what this restaurant could achieve. Likewise the flavors in the mignardises (especially the vanilla egg) were exquisite. 3) Friendly staff extremely knowledgeable of contents of each dish. Negatives: 1) Flavours in at least 50% of the tasting menu just didn't come together in the way one hopes for at a Michelin two star. Each dish has excellent ingredients, beautiful design, and yet, in the end, the flavours were only ok. We had better food at 1/4 the price. 2) Ambiance was sorely lacking. Restaurant let in a guitar singer who would belt at the top of his lungs drowning out the conversation and interrupting the staff's presentation of the meals. If this happened only once, we could have considered this a fluke. However, this happened three times with the guitar player louder and more obnoxious with each return. Again, ok if we were at a street Mexican restaurant or even a trattoria. Completely disruptive and out of place at this scene and price point. 3) Minor staff mixed up our dishes at the start but that was eventually solved. Sadly felt disappointed and frustrated that we had chosen this as our dinner spot for our only night in St. Moritz.
