As others have pointed out one takes a bit of a gamble with Cafe du Fleuve as its opening hours are erratic to say the least and even when its open supplies of basics can be a bit limited. (When my husband asked for cognac...there was only one glass left Having said all that this is a lovely welcoming place with a great position on the square and very friendly staff. The limited menu whilst of the salad, omlette, snack variety is actually really good. The lasagne was truly delicious. Whilst the outside seating area is great for sunny days the interior offers table games such as Trivial Pursuit and a tv which makes for a great atmosphere when significant sports matches are being screened. (We were there on the night of the Rugby final featuring the local Toulouse team). In summary this bar is nothing flash but really good for a convivial lunchtime or evening drink or snack.
Whenever we're in Quillan, we stop here for lunch. The little square is charming, the owner Mike is very pleasant and efficient. The food is always fantastic (today the fresh salmon plancha and tuna steak were cooked to perfection) and very fresh. I would highly...recommend this place to anyone passing through.
It was raining quite a lot last Friday afternoon so trying to see Quillan we ended up in this Cafe for a tea and the waiter serve it very friendly but just tea did not offer anything else Bar is. It do big and they...have a terrace for sunny days I only enjoyed the table games trivial cards cards etc
Good food, great service and a happy owner that was appreciative of our efforts to speak his language. We had coq a vin, with wonderful chip wedges, just right for dinner and salad for lunch on a lovely sunny late October afternoon.
