After loving Cattows for years this was my first visit after all the new building works have been completed. It is a fabulous building is much bigger than the old tearooms.I was meeting friends I was the first to arrive. I checked in via the app stood and waited to be shown to my prebooked table. Although not overly busy I stood for quite a few minutes even asked if I needed to stand wait. The waitress was lovely and said she woukd take me to our table in a minute.Once seated I sat waited for my friends. I had been given lots of menus, breakfast, lite bites, main menu, drink menu, childs menu. All sounded delicious. I ordered a diet coke my friends arrived. They ordered their drinks, then we ordered our food. I ordered a jacket potato with Chilli. I am only going to comment about my food as I am sure my friend will be doing her own review. Out came my jacket potato, burnt black, rock hard, shrivelled up tbh no chef should have even thought that it was acceptable for any thing other than the bin. I sent it straight back. The waitress looked at me as if I was from Mars. She said what do you want then. I said a jacket potato that isnt burnt please. She took it away came back with another one only very slightly better. As my friends had their meals I had no choice but to take it. Lucky for me our toddler asked for peas with her meal but they didnt have any so she had beans instead. I literally was so grateful for them as my potato skin (my favourite part usually) was so hard dry actually inedible . Anyway after asking the original lovely waitress who was in charge, she went to tell him how disappointed we were with the food. She came back saying he would knock off the food bill. I said I would pay the for the chilli but my Jacket potato was not worth the or even with the off!!! She went to the kitchen again came back saying we were to just pay for our drinks the girls cakes.I have given stars as the building is lovely, the waitress was polite apologised but unfortunately we wont be going back again.

I would never return to this farm. I went due to the fact I had heard raves about the place in the summer and it’s local to me also. I purchased the tickets online and also paid per person to enter the fantasy land....For of us it was When we arrived we got in the que to get in and this took around minutes (person allowing entry didn’t smile once). Straight away you see the fair, person for the waltsers. per person for the ghost train. for minutes for the trampoline. PER GO ON HOOK A DUCK. on a burger (so take food with you if you go) Straight away a lot of money spent. We then called it a day on the fair and got in the que for the fantasy land event which was what we paid the extra per person for. First of all we qued for an hour. When we finally got in I couldn’t have been more disappointed and so where the kids. All’s it’s was we’re houses with dressed up people outside giving a little sweet or puzzle etc. No spooky things etc and we just qued some more until the end for the zombie event. We was given a bucket with about balls in to Chuck at the zombies for when they come out and this was it, this is what we had paid all that money for. At the end in there is a lot of bouncy castles etc which we were advised it was another per child for minutes. Myself and so many other people were complaining due to the fact it should have been in with the price we had paid as we paid extra for fantasy land. I heard people complaining how disappointed they were in the event itself. We was there hours and spent and we didn’t enjoy it one bit. Will not be returning.

Me and my partner came here with our newborn for the first time to pick some pumpkins, first impressions looked really good however we found that we had to walk quite a distance to get pumpkins, and with a newborn it was very difficult. Most pumpkins on the field were smashed to pieces also. We managed to find some and paid. On the way out we went in the tea room to have a hot drink, this was very nice inside and enjoyed our drink. Will definately go somewhere else next year, not very impressed.

Visited in December for both breakfast festive afternoon tea both were great for value for money quality of food drinks. Breakfast is varied with a choice of sizes for the full English which is good. The afternoon tea was outstanding.. unlimited drinks from the menu all food looked home made tasted lovely. Very happy to give you a box to take home anything you can’t finish. Staff are friendly efficient. No complaints at all.
